Cheap Fun

Since Becca tracks Joe McDermott shows, she found that he was going to play at a carnival type event at a local Methodist church. During the day, they had a bunch of stuff for the kids like jump houses and dum\nking tanks, but we just went later for some food and Joe's concert. We got three cheeseburgers, a hot dog, a bag of chips, two sodas, a bottle of water, and lemonade for $1.75. The hot dogs and lemonade were free and everything else was $0.25. We actually ended up wasting $0.25 because we bought $2 in tickets. Darn. There was a bake-off competition and after judging, the treats were all cut up and served for free. Both Riley's and my favorite was some type of key lime bundt cake. Riley kept grabbing my hand with the fork and shoving it into her mouth. After dessert, we enjoyed the free concert. It was the first time I've heard Joe McDermott live and I have to say it was pretty entertaining. It was also fun to see Riley dance and sing some of the words she remembers. So, you don't have to spend much to have fun.

Wow, only .25 cents? That's awesome. I don't think we've had anything like that here. It sounds like it was a blast (at least for the price!).
